Public Comment Procedure
In general, there are two ways to provide a public comment on an item on this meeting, by telephone or by email. After each item has been presented, BOE staff will announce the opening of public comment and recognize individuals to make their public comment. Public commenters will be identified in the official minutes as they’ve identified themselves on the record or within the comment submission form.
Reminder: Any public comment must be on a matter within the Board’s subject matter jurisdiction (Gov. Code Section 11122.5.)
Public Comment by Telephone: Dial the teleconference number above, and when prompted, enter the conference access number above. The AT&T Operator will provide instructions. If you intend to make a public comment, please dial in before the agenda item begins, as the live webcast experiences a 1-3-minute delay.
Public Comment by Email: Please fill out the below form, indicating your preferred identification (if any), contact information, which item you would like to make a comment on, and your public comment. If you would like to comment on multiple items, please select each of those items in a single submission to avoid the need for multiple submissions.
Please note, BOE staff uses the name and the phone number submitted to identify public commenters. If you would prefer to submit your public comment anonymously, please indicate that in your submission and your submission will be read into the record. Additionally, written comments are typically incorporated into the official minutes of the meeting and published on the BOE website.
Please note, if a public comment references multiple items, the comment will only be read into the record once; the public comment will be incorporated by reference to any additional items. Additionally, if a comment does not relate to the item or item(s) indicated, the public comment may be read instead under N. Items Not on the Agenda.
If there are technical difficulties, or if you need accommodation, we will make every attempt to read submitted comments into the record at appropriate times.
The Comment form will be removed 15 minutes prior to the start of the Board meeting. Please join the meeting via teleconference if you would like to make a public comment on the record.
We will make every effort to ensure everyone who wishes to participate in this meeting is able to do so. Please contact us if you have any concerns or require special assistance.
If you have questions about how to participate telephonically, please contact Broad Proceeding at 916-274-3540 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
