220.0372 Life Estate. The transfer of a life estate by a life tenant during his or her life other than to a spouse or eligible child constitutes a change in ownership. The termination of a life estate because of the death of the life tenant is also a change in ownership, unless the remainderman is a spouse or eligible child of the creator of the life estate and remainder interest.
