BOE Vice Chair Vazquez to Participate in
Hispanic Business Policy Summit Panel
Sacramento - Board of Equalization (BOE) Vice Chair Antonio Vazquez will participate in the 25th Annual California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce (CHCC) California Hispanic Business Policy Summit as a panelist at the event's Annual Hispanic Small Business Luncheon on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at 12:00 p.m. at the Citizens Hotel, 1926 J Street in Sacramento. The luncheon will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Vazquez will discuss property tax initiatives to help small business, nonprofits, and homeowners; and legislation addressing affordable housing, opportunity zones, public/private partnerships, and smart growth.
Joining Vazquez on the panel are Betty Yee, California State Controller, and Che Salinas, Chief Deputy Legislative Secretary, Office of Governor Gavin Newsom.
The CHCC Annual Hispanic Small Business Luncheon features a wide range of relevant panels by industry experts offering vital information on both public and private resources. The luncheon highlights the opportunities available for small businesses interested in engaging in procurement and civic activities.
Elected on November 6, 2018, Board Member Antonio Vazquez is the Third District Member of the California State Board of Equalization, representing more than 9.5 million residents in Los Angeles, a portion of San Bernardino, and Ventura Counties. Vazquez previously served on the Santa Monica City Council for over 10 years, including holding the offices of Mayor Pro Tempore in 2015 and Mayor in 2016.
