            5             MS. MA:  And we also have an adjourn in 

            6    memory -- 

            7             MS. RICHMOND:  Yes, ma'am.  

            8             MS. MA:  -- today?  Okay.  Thank you.  

            9             We will adjourn today's meeting in the 

           10    memory of Cesar Nikola Shamas, Associate Tax Auditor 

           11    from the Business Tax and Fee Department who 

           12    recently passed away.  

           13             Cesar was 44 years old and had a home in 

           14    Elk Grove.  He was hired as a Tax Auditor in the 

           15    Allocation Group approximately 14 and a half years 

           16    ago.  Cesar was promoted to an Associate Tax Auditor 

           17    in the Allocation Group, and that is the position he 

           18    held at the time of his passing.  

           19             He has a degree in accounting.  He was a 

           20    U.S. Army Veteran and is survived by his mother, who 

           21    is known for making great homemade baklava, and son 

           22    Patrick.  

           23             We also have one more.  Mr. Horton.  

           24             MR. HORTON:  Thank you, Madam Chair.  

           25             Members, I would ask that we adjourn in the 

           26    memory of the 49 individuals whose life were 

           27    tragically taken in Orlando, Florida, unnecessary.  

           28             This world, I just don't know what it's

            1    coming to.  But we would ask that we send our 

            2    condolence to those family members and well wishes, 

            3    and may they all be blessed.
