            6             MS. RICHMOND:  Our next item is J3 Property 

            7    Tax Rules 282, Temporary Certification, and 283, 

            8    Permanent Certification.  

            9             MS. MA:  Mr. Heller.  

           10             MR. HELLER:  Thank you.  Again, I'm Bradley 

           11    Heller from the Board's Legal Department, and I'm 

           12    here to request that the Board vote to authorize 

           13    staff to complete Rule 100 changes to Property Tax 

           14    Rule 282, Temporary Certification, and 283, 

           15    Permanent Certification.  

           16             The changes replace Rule 283's reference to 

           17    the "Department of Real Estate" with a reference to 

           18    the "Bureau of Real Estate" to reflect amendments to 

           19    Business and Professions Code sections 10004 and 

           20    10005 made to implement the Governor's 2013 

           21    reorganization plan.  

           22             The changes replace Rule 283's references 

           23    to the "Property Taxes Department of the Board" with 

           24    references to the "Board's Property Tax Department" 

           25    to reflect reorganization at the Board.  And the 

           26    changes also replace references to "regulation" with 

           27    references to "rule" throughout both rules because 

           28    the regulations being referred to are commonly
