HORTON: All right. Thank you. 6 Members, we all know this gentleman by the 7 name of Percy Pinkney, and he was different to many 8 in this business. 9 He is also a legend by his own right. I 10 mean, Percy dates back to -- well, before I even 11 thought about politics, and has done an exceptional 12 job as the advisor to Dianne Feinstein. I believe 13 he served under Jerry Brown when he first got 14 started. He may be one of the few individuals who 15 worked with Jerry Brown in a leadership role when he 16 first started, his father, and every other Brown 17 thereafter. 18 So I'd like for us to adjourn in his memory 19 if we can, Madam Chair. 20 I also want to acknowledge Shellie Hughes, 21 my advisor, she's also my Chief Counsel. She's done 22 an exceptional job for the Board of Equalization, as 23 well as for me. And she is moving on to be the 24 Deputy Executive Director for the State of Nevada, 25 Property Tax Committee, which is a huge promotion, 26 huge opportunity. She will serve as well as we 27 begin to take over Nevada. 28 The second person is Jackie Zumaeta in my 3 1 office. She came to us as a Tax Counsel I. We are 2 pleased that she's going back to the Franchise Tax 3 Board as a Tax Counsel III, to provide some insight 4 as to what she's learned while being here at the 5 Board of Equalization, and she's done a fabulous 6 job. Congratulations, Jackie. 7 And lastly, Camille Dixon who is also 8 elevating to the Program Manager for the Department 9 of Insurance, and she has already taken a job. 10 I'll tell you guys a story. Camille was 11 with us through the end of March. And I was out in 12 the field sometime in February and I asked one of 13 the Department of Insurance people, "Hey, have you 14 heard that Camille is coming over there?" 15 They said, "Yeah, she's doing a fabulous 16 job right now." You know. 17 And I'm like, "Well, she hasn't even left 18 yet." 19 MS. HARKEY: Her reputation precedes her. 20 MR. HORTON: That's kind of telling. But 21 she's doing an exceptional job, you know, as a -- as 22 a -- as a colleague, as well as an associate to the 23 folks and a team member to the folks that we work 24 with. 25 It's always gratifying when they have an 26 opportunity to advance their personal as well as 27 their professional career. So I'm excited for all 28 of them and look forward to the new cadets, 4 1 opportunity to move them forward as well. 2 Thank you, Madam Chair. 3 MS. MA: Thank you. 4 Okay.
