RICHMOND: Our next matter is the 6 Administrative Session. Item N, Consent Agenda. 7 We have Item N1, Retirement Resolutions for 8 K. John Emmett, Tze-Ming Lau, James M. Njiiri, and 9 Neil Shah. 10 The Members of the Board wish to extend 11 their sincere and grateful appreciation to the 12 retirees for their dedicated service to the State 13 Board of Equalization and to the State of 14 California. Their congratulations on the retirees' 15 well-earned retirement and best wishes to them and 16 their families for continued success, happiness and 17 good health in the years to come. 18 MR. HORTON: Thank you, Ms. Richmond. 19 Members, with your permission, I'd like to 20 take the liberty of just acknowledging all of these 21 individuals, but particularly Neil Shah who -- we 22 date back to actually starting together with Board 23 Member Parrish's office. There's stories that I 24 could tell, but time doesn't allow. 25 MS. HARKEY: He's back there now. 26 MR. RUNNER: He's back with Claude talking 27 about it right now. 28 MR. HORTON: He's currently with Mr. 3 1 Parrish and doing well. So it's good to see that 2 he's retiring but yet still continuing to serve the 3 people of the greatest -- of the greatest -- of the 4 State of California in some capacity. 5 MS. HARKEY: Orange County. 6 MR. RUNNER: At least Orange County. 7 MS. HARKEY: Orange County Assessor's 8 office. 9 MR. HORTON: Yeah. Yeah. 10 MS. HARKEY: He's working with Claude 11 Parrish and I think he's enjoying himself, and I 12 know he's enjoying his retirement plus his new 13 career. 14 MR.
