Would you 15 please introduce yourself for the record and 16 commence with your presentation. 17 MR. TANG: Good afternoon, Mr. Chairman and 18 Members of the Board. For the record, my name's 19 Benjamin Tang with the County-Assessed Properties 20 Division. With me today is Mr. David Yeung with the 21 County-Assessed Properties Division. 22 The first item for your consideration is a 23 new Assessors' Handbook, Assessors' Handbook Section 24 506, Property Tax Audits and Audit Program. 25 The new Assessors' Handbook section was 26 developed to promote uniformity and consistency in 27 property tax audits throughout the state. It was 28 developed in an open process with no outstanding 3 1 issues to report. 2 As such, we respectfully ask that the Board 3 adopt the new handbook section and authorize its 4 publication. And we're here to answer any questions 5 you may have. 6 MR. HORTON: Is there a motion, Members, to 7 adopt -- 8 MR. RUNNER: Move adoption. 9 MR. HORTON: Move adoption by Member 10 Runner. TANG: Thank you. 17 The second item for your considerations is 18 a new LTA on the property tax welfare exemption for 19 low-income housing property. It was developed due 20 to a recent legislation that was signed into law. 21 This LTA was developed to explain the 22 statutory amendments contained in SB 1203. The LTA 23 was developed in an open process with no outstanding 24 issues to report. 25 We respectfully request, again, that the 26 Board approve this new LTA. 27 MS. STOWERS: So move. 28 MR.
