Help for Small Business Owners

Are you a business owner who is feeling overwhelmed by tax laws and reporting requirements? Perhaps you're unsure if you can claim exemptions, or maybe you just need help recovering funds from a bad check someone passed on to you. Well, help is on the way. John Chiang, Chair, State Board of Equalization (BOE), announced today that several federal, state, and local government agencies will team up to offer a free, one-day tax fair to San Fernando Valley small business owners.

Here's your chance to attend a variety of free seminars and talk to the experts. Representatives of the BOE, Employment Development Department, Franchise Tax Board, Internal Revenue Service, Small Business Administration, as well as other local, state, and federal agencies, will be present to answer your questions. In addition, we are pleased to welcome the special participation of representatives of the Chambers of Commerce from Burbank, Glendale, and Sherman Oaks. If you are a small business owner, you won't want to miss this.

Date: Wednesday, October 23, 2002
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
