NR# 14-K Klehs Announces 11th Annual Bay Area Small Business Seminar Scheduled for Friday, May 11, 2001 Johan Klehs, Member, State Board of Equalization (BOE) announced today that several federal, state and local government agencies will team up to offer a free, one-day tax seminar to Bay Area businesses. The seminar is designed to be a one-stop source of business and tax information for small business owners. Time: 8:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. Place: Elihu M. Harris State Building 1515 Clay Street Between 14th and 15th Streets Oakland, CA The tax seminar will start at 8:30 A.M. with opening remarks by Mr. Klehs and Terry Antell, IRS Territory Manager. The seminar will include general information sessions as well as workshops tailored to suit the needs of the small business owner. Topics to be presented include:·
Representatives of the BOE, Employment Development Department, Franchise Tax Board, Internal Revenue Service, Small Business Administration, as well as other local, state and federal agencies will be present to answer taxpayer questions.
